A Rebel At Heart

The number of ways to live in one lifetime is limitless. So why limit yourself?
Suzy Kassem

I’ve never been one to follow the rules.

I’ve never been attracted to the crowd, the well-travelled path or the fashionable choice.

I have an internal compass that I know will guide me well as long as I make the time to stop and listen to it.

Internal compass, spirit guide, gut instinct, whatever you call it, we all have something in us that helps us to make an intuitive choice in our life.

When I was in education, my strengths were in Maths, Physics and Languages. I decided that I wanted to take a course that utilised all of these skills and interests but would also lead to a successful career.

Whilst many of my friends went on to study teaching, nursing or business, I chose civil engineering.

I didn’t care that I was the only one of seven females out of 200 students on the course.

I didn’t care what was ‘expected’ of me.

I didn’t accept the norm.

I followed my internal compass and proceeded to push boundaries in all the decisions I would go on to make in my adult life.

Interior design, the auction house, property sales.

Every turn I took along the road was a lesson and was leading me to launch Cecchini Property.

It led me to a career that I feel was meant for me.

It led me to wonderful friends that I trust to have my best interests at heart.

It led me to a man that is my soulmate and husband.

It led me to live a life that I love.

Don’t get me wrong, there have been bumps in the road! I’m only human.

The beauty lies in accepting responsibility, learning and moving on.

I might not be a teenager in college anymore, but I’m still refusing to accept the norm.

I’m still pushing boundaries to find a better way of doing things.

Just because I’m an estate agent, doesn’t mean that I work the way the industry has worked for the past 100, 20 or even 5 years.

Here at Cecchini Property, we are industry disruptors.

I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and I’m so excited for what’s to come.

Watch this space!

Have you ever followed the path less travelled? The one that’s winding and unknown but mysterious and enticing?

I’d love to hear if you have!

Much love,

Sandrina
