We were with another estate agent, but we lost both our sale and purchase due to the terrible way the firm handled things. We received a letter from James offering his services and calling him was the best decision we ever made! James doesn’t give 100% he gives 150% He is extremely knowledgeable, tenacious, dedicated and works so hard I doubt he sleeps at night. He knew the problems we had previously with the other firm and was determined to show not all estate agents are the same and he certainly did that. He is very easy to talk to and his previous role as a property developer is also beneficial. James promised us he would sell our flat and find our perfect house. He doggedly perused every potential buyer. By some miracle the house we were hoping to buy before (the one we lost due to the other estate agents) returned to the market after the sale following our also feel through. The person who is our buyer originally only wanted a virtual tour however James persuaded him to come view and despite viewing six flats beforehand he put in an offer. If James had not persuaded him that it was best to view, there is little doubt that the purchaser would have not chosen our flat. We can never thank James enough for all his hard work and for helping us achieve our hope of buying our wee cottage in North Queensferry I would happily recommend James to anyone who is looking for an honest estate agent who will always have his client’s interest at heart. Our only regret is not finding James at the start for if we had we are certain that our sale would not have fallen through, and we be in our new home now.

Talk about saluting somebody’s indefatigability. My partner and I had spent months with a large firm of estate agents, pulling our hair out over what exactly they were doing to earn our fee. If we wanted to know what was going on we had to call them. They never, ever, called us. Moreover, when we did call, we were shunted from one person’s desk to another with no one individual ever responsible (or even on top of) our brief. When they finally allowed our sale to collapse at twenty minutes notice we simply gave up. After, that is, paying a hefty bill which they made clear in no uncertain terms we still owed them. Money literally for nothing. Enter James and our world changed. We did not find him, he found us. He wrote to us outlining the things he could do and asking if we wanted to chat. We had nothing to lose. We agreed. So along comes this punctual, charming, articulate and incredibly knowledgeable individual. We took to him immediately and from that day forth he was a dog with a bone on our behalf. Tireless, relentless and always keeping us in the loop. The happiest of endings – James got our sale and our purchase at the same prices we were happy with earlier.
